Portfolio and Office Manager, Gala Investments Limited
Noel is a portfolio and office manager at Gala Investments Limited and a finance lecturer at the University of Malta.
Noel has several years of experience in the financial services industry which were endorsed by a strong academic background in banking, finance and portfolio management theory.
Cassar started his career at Bank of Valletta where he spent eight years. In his last three years there, Noel was engaged as a Research Analyst within the Financial Markets and Investments division. In 2014, he joined the Central Bank of Malta occupying the role of Credit Risk Analyst at Financial Risk Management Office, where he analysed foreign issuers of bonds by using fundamental analysis principles and studying the market environment.
Since 2017, he has been engaged as a Portfolio Manager and Office Manager of a new start-up MiFID investment company in Malta called Gala Investments Ltd. He forms part of its Investment Committee and is also a member of its advisory team. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta.
Noel graduated with an Honours Degree in Banking and Finance and then furthered his studies by obtaining an MSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Malta. He also accomplished the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme where he became a CFA charter holder.
